Hayat Zaman is located 7.5 miles from the city of Petra. Formerly, it was an authentic, late-19th-century, Jordanian village called Taybeh. Now this village with amazing views of the Sharah Mountain Range has been transformed into a hotel-resort boasting modern recreational facilities and entertainment.
The property has kept its grand arches and local stone housing that keeps the temperature cool in the summer and warm in the winter.
