Every room has tasteful furnishings, sumptuous private baths, modern amenities, and spectacular views of the stunning ocean waters surrounding the Discovery Islands. Best described as a series of intimate lodges, Sonora Resort weaves luxury and nature together in a very special way with our expansive decks, cedar-and-stone great rooms, huge floor-to-ceiling windows, welcoming private lounges, and an intimate conservatory with local flora and a stunning overlook.

The primary lodges include Gold and Diamond rooms. In addition, there is a Presidential Suite and two private villas - Eagle Rock Lodge and Sea Lion Villa. Eagle Rock lodge is a 4-bedroom villa with two private hot-tubs and an expansive deck with a wood burning fireplace. Sea Lion Villa, Sonora Resort’s showpiece, has 4 primary Platinum Plus rooms, a nanny suite, private hot-tubs and 4 Subaru Foresters available for you. Directions
  • Option 1: 50 minute Helicopter from the Richmond South Terminal Airport
  • Option 2: 1 hour 10 minutes float plane flight from the Richmond South Terminal Airport
  • Option 3: Drive from Vancouver, taking a ferry, followed by a water taxi.

Driving Directions from Campbell River Airport:

  • Start out going Northeast on Jubilee Parkway toward Provincial Route 19a Inland Island Highway, South
  • Stay straight at first light – cross Provincial Route 19 Inland Island Highway, North
  • Turn left at Dogwood Street
  • Stay on Dogwood Street all the way into the City of Campbell River
  • Dogwood Street crosses Provincial Route 19a Island Highway straight into Discovery Harbor Mall
  • Continue into the mall – stay straight in the left lane until the end
  • Turn right at Starbuck’s Coffee and Coastal Community Credit Union , which will lead you to the long-term parking lot located behind Zellers Department store.
  • The ramp to G-Dock and your water taxi are located in this parking lot
  • WayWest Water taxi office is located at the bottom of the ramp leading to the G-Dock.

Driving Directions from Departure Bay or Duke Point Ferry Terminals:

  • Head Southeast following signs for Provincial Route 19 Inland Highway, North to Campbell River
  • Turn right at Jubilee Parkway (south Campbell River)
  • Turn left at Dogwood Street
  • Stay on Dogwood Street all the way into the City of Campbell River
  • Dogwood Street crosses Provincial Route 19a Island Highway straight into the Discovery Harbor Mall
  • Continue into the mall – stay straight in the left lane to the end
  • Turn right at Starbuck’s Coffee and Coastal Community Credit Union
  • The ramp to G Dock and Sonora Resort vessel is in the parking lot of the Riptide Pub on your left (some long-term parking is available here)
  • More parking is available within the mall or in behind Zellers Department store in the gravel parking lot
  • A Sonora Resort representative will meet you at the top of the G-Dock ramp to assist you with your luggage
